Ensure that all color decision makers are
present at the consultation.
Define Your Color Preferences
Think about the mood or atmosphere you’d like to create. Are you envisioning a calm, relaxing environment or a vibrant, energizing space? Knowing your goals for the space will help guide the consultation.
Secure Samples of New Finishes
If you’re considering new finishes (e.g., flooring, countertops, tile, etc.), please have all samples at the consultation to ensure we choose paint colors that complement them.
During Your Paint Color Consultation: Personalized Guidance
Understanding Your Vision
We’ll take a walk through your home, where I’ll ask questions to better understand your style preferences and color objectives. Whether you want to create a modern, cozy, or timeless look, I’ll help you select the ideal color palette.
Color Analysis
As a certified True Colour Expert and Color Strategist, I’ll assess your home’s lighting, furnishings, and existing finishes. This analysis helps me identify the dominant hue family in your space and determine which paint colors will work best with your home’s unique elements.
Color Selection
Based on my color analysis, I’ll present a tailored selection of paint colors. You’ll receive a folder containing information about your new paint palette, along with detailed instructions for testing the colors in your space.
After Your Paint Color Consultation: Making Your Color Choices a Reality
Large Paint Sample Sheets
The next business day, you’ll receive large paint sample sheets (approximately 8” x 10”) of your selected colors via express mail. Testing with these samples allows you to see how the colors will look in different lighting conditions throughout the day and evening.
Refining Your Color Selection
If you’re not fully satisfied after testing the paint color samples, I offer continued support. Using advanced software, I can tweak the selected colors based on your feedback to find the perfect match. Sample sheets of these new color selections arrive the following business day.
Finalizing Your Color Palette
Once we’ve fine-tuned the colors, you’ll be confident in your choices, knowing your new paint colors will harmonize with your home’s style and lighting conditions.
